What is the problem this solves or benefit it gives

Improve user experience - currently it's difficult to distinguish between different versions while using the Octopus Manager

Discussed the benefits of wanting the version number. It's not a bad thing to include this anyway. Instance version might be weird for a customer. I'll follow up with customer/internal people to ask reasons for this and benefits to see if we want to prioritise this moving forward.
