Add support for CNAMES with AWS Authentication - EKS Deployment Targets #8346

Open FinnianDempsey opened 1 year ago

FinnianDempsey commented 1 year ago

The enhancement

When configuring an EKS cluster as a deployment target, currently only the AWS provided URL is supported and customers are unable to use a CNAME record instead.

The Need

CNAMES should be supported for EKS clusters

Solution

Change Calamari to support CNAMES instead of a hardcoded "eks.amazonaws.com" URL

@FinnianDempsey This is still an issue. I hope this will be changed in new release
