Hi, I have the above error
[CRITICAL] Can't open named pipe /var/spool/octopussy/octo_fifo: Interrupted system call at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/Octopussy.pm line 108.
when i try to start octopussy service. This is a fresh install on CentOS release 5.8 (Final)
permissions on the file are
ls -al /var/spool/octopussy/octo_fifo prw-r--r-- 1 octopussy octopussy 0 Nov 25 20:25 /var/spool/octopussy/octo_fifo
Please assist.

Hi,
can you check that your SELinux is disabled ?
I had many reports that SELinux generates issues with Octopussy.
