I'm confused @kintopp. What is an Artist? Where is this class or property defined? We are using classes and properties with a well defined meaning. What is wrong with the definition of "author" we are using?
In English, we call the person who writes a book, or an essay, or an encyclopaedia entry, an "author". (Almost) never an artist. We call the person who made a painting, or a drawing, or a sculpture, an "artist". Never an author (as in, really never). It's more an issue with the label, as applied to certain media, not the underlying concept of creation.
This could be solved by having "artist" be a sub-property of "author", with range (painting/drawing/sculpture)
The artist field has been added into the UI. Leaving this issue open until @pasqLisena confirms that implementation on the data side.
Artist field is available both in the KG and in the explorer. Closing this issue.
The image cards shown at the bottom of the page when browsing a smell source (e.g. https://explorer.odeuropa.eu/smell-sources/22) label creators as Authors instead of Artists. If we're not able to assign the correct label consistently (I can imagine edge cases) then perhaps it's best to go one level up in abstraction, and use the Creator label for both.
