jstree v.1.0rc2 doesn't work with IE 8 #942

1. Open the page
2. Click each node
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
All nodes are expanded

What version of the product are you using? On what browser?
v.1.9rc2

Issue has been solved by adding <!DOCTYPE html 
PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> to the html page
