UML2 support is indeed an issue. I checked the latest commits from Hallvard and it seems that he stopped supporting uml2. It is no longer part of the releases. So I just close the obsolete, non-working project net.sourceforge.plantuml.uml2 in my workspace. Maybe, we could add UML 2 support again some time in future, but I didn't have the time or requirement to try that.

I wouldn't change the target platform as long as we don't have the uml2 dependencies.

But shouldn't we modify the plugin so that it does not stand in the way ? It's difficult for newcomers to see what is right and what is wrong.

I did not decide yet, to remove or to fix the uml2 plug-in. That's why I didn't touch it, yet. Maybe it's better to remove it from master branch and re-create it if needed.
