I might be incompetent and this is my first time using Github so it might be me again, but I have been trying to download your new additions because I am addicted to this mod and wait with bated breath for every new update that you guys post. However, I download and unzip the files, saving over the previous files I had downloaded and none of the new updates show up (Like Arkansas and the Illinois River...)! I do not know if you guys know what I can do, but I was hoping that you guys could help me since I don't know who else to ask...

Thanks!

So you're updating the mod?

KGBC2019 commented 10 years ago

Make sure you've entirely deleted the old mod before redownloading from GitHub.

I just tried that... Nothing. I feel pretty incompetent here. It seems fairly simple but...

Where are you unzipping the files? Especially the .mod file. Are you sure you're installing correctly?

I think so... I originally installed the mod in the mod folder but now that I have deleted everything and reinstalled, I cannot launch the mod at all... It is on the CKII menu but when I select it and launch it just launches the normal game now... This is frustrating, I am sorry.

KGBC2019 commented 10 years ago

You're not putting it in Steam, are you? It needs to be in your Paradox Interactive folder. Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod, and make sure the .mod file is in the folder as well. You should also make sure to rename the folder to After the End, since I believe it's still postapoc when you download it from GitHub.

I have it all set up like that ad it worked before I deleted everything and tried to re-install... I have no idea how I messed it up now. It's killing me...

KGBC2019 commented 10 years ago

Send me a screenshot of your setup, I'll talk it out with the other devs and try to figure out what's up.

Xam229 commented 10 years ago

Thank you so much for all the help! I am sorry to be so much trouble

avidal commented 10 years ago

I think you've got an extra level of directories. Isn't "After the End.mod" supposed to be in the root of the mods/ folder?

Xam229 commented 10 years ago

after the end Ok I tried that and now the options show up on the launch menu, but when the game launches then it goes to the normal game instead...
