Outlook Online doesn't show addin button in first opened email #4454

Your Environment

Expected behavior

When I open Outlook Online and select an email, I expect addin buttons to be visible. image

Current behavior

When I open Outlook Online and select an email, I don't see addin buttons. image

They are visible only after I select another email. This happens even with Viva Insights addin.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Outlook Online
  2. Either first email is selected, or select one
  3. The addin button isn't visible
  4. Select next email
  5. The addin button is visible

This is a known issue and is by design from the Outlook web team. This design ensures that customers do not see a sub-optimal experience when logging in to Outlook on the web for the first time. We do not have an ETA for a fix available at this time but rest assured that we are working towards improving this behavior in our future planning cycles.

Currently, there is no need for any action on your part. This is a known issue, and we are actively working to improve this behavior in our future planning cycles. Unfortunately, we do not have an estimated time for when the issue will be resolved.
