Long delays with replying to long email thread emails on the MAC platform where we have an onSend addin installed. #4793

There are long delays with replying to long email thread emails on the MAC platform where we have an onSend addin installed.

Your Environment

Platform: Outlook Office version number: 16.88 (24081116) Operating System: 14.5

Expected behavior

There shouldn't be long delays in sending emails in the MAC platform when replying to long thread email.

Current behavior

Long delays with replying to long email thread emails on the MAC platform where we have an onSend addin installed.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Reply to an email that has a long thread (approx 30-40 reply chains)
  2. outlook for mac takes approx 1min+ to send long thread emails

Does the issue occur only when add-in is present? Are you facing the issue in Classic Outlook Mac or New Outlook Mac? Please collect logs by following the steps here and share the incident ID with us.

Yes, this occurs when the add-in is present

New Outlook for Mac, not the legacy version

Please provide an email address to send the diagnositic information.

Hey @mikey8808

It looks like the mail you are trying to send is very long, and itself takes most of the time, based on the logs you have shared. Can you please share some logs where you send the same mail without the add-in being triggered?

It'll be easier for us to understand the issue clearly.
