Microsoft Skype iOS bug version 8.22 (05-23-18) #76

Hello, The Cortana “bot” that’s allows chat between user has a new bug. This version involves 8.22 released May 23rd, 2018 for the Apple iOS (iPhone) App Store.

The issue is found within the Cortana chat bot. The Cortana Chat bot initially requires users permission for location and IM service, Cortana first asks ”Before we can chat, I’ll need permission to use your location and IM conversations in Skype“

Even if a user grants Cortana bot permission for location and IM, Cortana Bot keeps asking a user for permission for their location, and to accept IM after the user has authorized access.

After granting Cortana permission, every question involves Cortana Bot repeating her original request which says: “Before we can chat, I’ll need permission to use your location and IM conversations in Skype”

Cortana continues to ask for this same permissions from the user; even after user has granted it. It seems to bug In the delivery automation of responses from Cortana.

I’ve closed the Skype app on my Apple iPhone device, but the bug with Cortana bot keeps persisting. Location Services for Skype are set to “Always allow” and all preferences within the app are set accordingly to grant permissions.

Despite me granting the Cortana bot permission for location prior to my fist question, whenever I ask Cortana a question later, the Cortana Bot still says the same phrase she asked at the beginning of the chat: ”Before we can chat, I’ll need permission to use your location and IM conversations in Skype“

It doesn’t matter if the question requires location, because the user has granted Cortana bot location and IM permission, Cortana bot keeps repeating this request for IM and location after every question including reminders, facts, navigation, questions. Ect.
