Persistant Prerequisits Error - Urgent assitance #12017

Closed BrucedeMink closed 1 month ago

BrucedeMink commented 1 month ago

I accidentally added and deleted web part to the development, and then I proceeded to delete it. Now when I run the solution, I get this error: image The red underlined section was accidentally added: image not my solution in not rendering. image

HuihuiWu-Microsoft commented 1 month ago

Hi @BrucedeMink, thanks for reporting this to us. The error displayed in the first screenshot seems to have no relationship with the accidentally added web part. You need to make sure need port(4321) is not occupied before running your project. For the error displayed in the third screenshot, please make sure all related files/configs are updated when you remove the wrong web part(e.g. src\config\config.json, src.yo-rc.json, ...). Please let me know if you have any questions.

BrucedeMink commented 1 month ago

Yes please, Is there any chance we could have a teams chat. I'm getting this error. And I have no idea as to how to fix it.

GitHub Alias doesn't work for us to have a live chat. Maybe you can try to close the port and cleanup things that're related to the accidentally added web part, then try again. If you still have the problem, please send email to our feedback channel and attach your project if convenient.

BrucedeMink commented 1 month ago

Hi I am sorry I am not sure what you mean by "close the port"? What do you mean "clean up things", I have removed the offending addition and all items associated with it. I have removed and cleaned up.

I have gone as far as I can hence me needing one on one assistance.

Please can we set up a teams meeting.

Kind regards Bruce de Mink

@BrucedeMink As the error displayed in your first screenshot, 'Ports 4321 already in use', you need to close the port manually before running the app; As the error displayed in your third screenshot, "Invalid manifest with id ....", you need to cleanup the web part related files/configs which you already done as you mentioned. If you need further help, we can setup a Teams meeting, but first please send email to our feedback channel or let me know your email address so I can setup the meeting(as I'm not sure who I am talking to as you do).

@BrucedeMink When you add the web part, a new tab related to that web part will be added to staticTabs array in Teams manifest file. So after you delete the accidentally added web part, you can find manifest file for both local and remote under appPackage\manifest.json and appPackage\manifest.local.json, then remove the corresponding tab. For example, in the below screenshot, "f8712784-03a2-4a5e-b7ca-888c6540fa1a" is the wrongly added web part, remove this tab which is inside red rect. image For manifest.js, could you provide more info on this file since I don't have this one on my side?

@BrucedeMink The Teams manifest files looks good and only contains one web part. I have two questions:

  1. You mentioned that you accidentally added web part. How did you add the web part, with Teams Toolkit add web part in tree view or with yo @microsoft/sharepoint? Which folder are you under when you add the web part if you added with yo?
  2. From your screenshots, your project folder structure should be like following. But the error message indicates there is an invalid manifest file under c:\users\p50003352\TeamsApps\AppHubProd\App Hub\src. Could you help check the path and see whether there's any manifest json file with mentioned id 'd6e038bd-d4ef-...'?

The files under temp folder should be regenerated once the SPFx project is updated. If there's no web part with id d6e038... in the project, it shouldn't exist in auto-generated temp files. Does the invalid manifest file under c:\users\p50003352\TeamsApps\AppHubProd\App Hub\src still exist when this error occurs? @BrucedeMinkhttps://github.com/BrucedeMink Does the invalid manifest file under c:\users\p50003352\TeamsApps\AppHubProd\App Hub\src still exist now? Could you attach the file if yes?

@BrucedeMink Couldn't see the json file. The file in recycle bin doesn't have impact on the project. So you mean currently the error says there's an invalid manifest file under c:\users\p50003352\TeamsApps\AppHubProd\App Hub\src while it actually doesn't exist?

Hi huihuiWui, Is there any way you could reach out to me so I can show you via teams? This communication medium is very limiting

After scrounging around in the directories I found this: image

@BrucedeMink The auto generated files under release won't block if there's no related web part in source code.

My initial idea was to set up a Teams meeting with you through email if you start the thread by sending an email to our feedback channel or I can send the meeting link directly if it's OK for you to attach your email address here.
