Suggestion: Remove auto aim feature /// TURNED INTO: Suggestion: Add speech bubbles when writing #55

As DanRatherman said:

I might suggest the removal of the aim system to be frank; I think it too often takes the place of players using their brains when deciding how force should be escalated, and whether a fight is worth fighting or not.

It might just be me, but knowing that I could be placed at any moment under an inescapable lockdown makes me more twitchy, and more likely to posture myself for a shootout rather than a conversation. I feel, in a sense, that I have been provoked, rather than invited to an exchange of dialogue or a character experience. I would almost rather a firefight just unapologetically break out on sight with a foe than be aimed at in a swift, unannounced moment while typing a greeting.

Basically, "Aiming is broken and OP af since they can just unholster and click on me while I write". Which already is half of the problem with the low escalation and RDM, and the auto-aim makes it so not only they have an instant advantage, they won't lose it.

I think the aim system is one of the primary things stopping RDM from happening, and I think in its absence things will get even more muddied when it comes to reporting on it or stopping it. Perhaps an actual solution is implementing a functional 'typing bubble' to show when players are typing as well as remove the auto-firing features of the aim system to give players a chance to fight back.

We don't have a typing bubble? I didn't even notice that (I don't talk to myself while testing). That's certanly an important thing, but bear in mind that most servers have an option to turn it off, so if we add that option, we cannot expect people to have the typing bubble as part of the "rules" to follow.

Secondly, indeed, the auto-firing is one of the most annoying things of the auto-aim feature, basically click once and follow your target to never miss is kinda annoying, removing the autofiring will allow people to aim at things but not shoot at them with perfect accuracy every time they move, instead they'll still have to click on them to fire.
