The Paradise version of a crossbow is a launcher that throws rods at you and if you get hit by them, they embed on your body, push you, and if you hit a wall you're "pinned" to it.
We'll make a crossbow that follows the rules of a gun, but it'll need to have special qualities and ammo and stuff.
Crossbows are crafted, mixing metal, wooden parts and strings you should be able to make a crossbow.
Crossbow may have addons, which should be crafted with RND, things like: Bolt clips to be able to fire without drawing the string, sights to be able to zoom, and cables+energy cells to be able to overheat metal rods used as ammo.
Crossbow strings aren't drawn by acting on the crossbow itself, they are drawn by acting on it with an empty hand.
Bolts should differ from arrows, but they should be able to embed, to penetrate armor, and to be applied reagents, basically the same rules as shotgun darts.
The crossbow should also be able to accept metal rods, which turn into a projectile that doesn't penetrate armor and deals less damage than a crossbow bolt, but if the crossbow has an energy cell in it, metal rods will turn into heated rebar projectiles which ignore armor and cause medium BURN damage.
