Audio distortion when selecting Memory or Music with large hard drives #45

Occasionally, when selecting Memory or Music, the transition will play, but the freeze and the audio distorts and plays a loud, harsh static buzz, or the audio completely corrupts. A similar thing happens when selecting launcher, but the sound instead plays on repeat until everything unfreezes.

what build of UIX Lite do you have ? and on what hardware ? (modchip ? hdd change ? other change from stock ? xbox revision ?)

I'm using the latest version of UIX Lite, It's a 1.6 Xbox, and I have changed to a 30 GB HDD. This Xbox is softmodded with the latest softmodding tool and 2 games on the E partition (since I ran out of storage on my F partition). I also have every other dashboard that I could find installed. Sometimes the audio doesn't always distort, but more often than not it does.

I should point out how the DVD Drive is dying, if that has anything to do with it.

The distortion sounds something like this:

Memory: A high pitched scrape/screech after it finishes loading Music: Corrupted audio for the duration of the loading Launcher: Audio plays on repeat until it loads (The menu doesn't freeze, but it takes a few seconds before the menu actually fades in)

More often than not, the distortion occurs if the menu freezes for a few seconds after selecting the option, but occasionally, the distortion occurs even if the menu transitions fluidly. This doesn't seem to occur when you select Xbox Live/Insignia or Settings.
