adds the following features and fixes:

finalizes functionality for profile forms
adds ability to add links to profiles
fixes display of profiles so that links don't look wonky
addresses issue causing approval queue notifications to get sent to the approver rather than the author
adds a BETA badge to the nav
updates version number to 1.0.0-beta.1
adds a placeholder for the Messages panel in the Guide
