[Linux] Not connection ALPHA 296 - DF 0.31.08 #258

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start DF, open map
2. Start DT click connection to DF button
3. Results

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect: Able to use DT to manage dwarves.
Receive: Lack of connection

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
DT ALPHA 296
DF 0.31.08
Linux (Arch)
2.6.34

Please provide the "run.log" file in the "log" directory of DwarfTherapist
when this error occurred.

If this is a truly "crazy" issue, please also attach a copy of your save-
game.

Notice:
I have placed DT executable and all other files in the same directory as DF.

That alpha is very old and will not work with any DF versions of 0.31.x

What's the best way to run it under Linux? (Wine or native)

I'll be releasing a newer linux version soon. You can always try running both 
DF and DT under wine at the same time.
