Tabs not showing up (be more defensive concerning user settings file)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Unsure

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected = labor and social tabs. instead = nothing.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
 DT 5.4, 5.5, and 5.6. Windows 7 home premium.

Please provide the "run.log" file in the "log" directory of DwarfTherapist
when this error occurred.

If this is a truly "crazy" issue, please also attach a copy of your save-
game.

Ensure that the user settings file is read and written correctly at launch and 
shutdown, also give users a way to nuke the settings file and start over.

Should be fixed for 0.6.6.  Made code changes to read the default gridviews 
directly from the resource instead of writing to a temporary file first.
