It would be useful if on the readme there was a short information for website developers, with instructions on how to mark up a cookie banner so that it is recognized by this extension.

This is a good idea, but the developers will need to come up with good universal ways to add support for it.

Maybe something like adding .cookie_addon_hide for elements that need to be hidden by the extension? This only works for websites that still function when the modal gets hidden, I'm not sure how more complicated rules could work.
