What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Select font from Text option screen.
2.Only unicode fonts are listed
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Used to have access to all fonts available to me, however not anymore.
What versions of mintty, Cygwin/MSYS, and Windows are you using?

Cygwin 1.7, Windows 7 x64, Mintty .8.1
Please provide any additional information below.

That's a Windows 7 feature: it hides most fonts by default. Clicking on the
'Show more fonts' link in the font selection dialog will take you to the fonts
folder where you can right-click on fonts and select 'Show'.

So what fonts are you actually missing? Are they marked as 'Show' in the font
folder, such that their icon appears normally rather than faint? Only monospace
fonts such as Consolas, Fixedsys, or Courier New will be offered in mintty.

ps: You might have to restart mintty for changes in the fonts folder to be
reflected in the font selection dialog.
