What version of SlimServer/SqueezeCeneter are you using? On what operating
system?

SqueezeCenter 7.3 / Linux

Could you describe the problem or enhancment ?

I want to enhance the Translation by contribute a new strings.txt but some
entrys are not editable. Are there any plans for an multilingual version. I
want to add DE to strings.txt.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

As you already have noted, the menu type names and its parameters and the 
default
values of the attributes of created menus aren't in strings.txt. These texts 
can't
currently be translated, depending on how much problem the new schema planned 
for
SqueezeCenter 8.0 causes this might change in the future.

If you are talking about some other texts than the menu names, attribute names 
and
attribute values, please let me know exactly which one.
