I bought Battlechess on Steam a few days, ago. However, I was not able to finish a single game, because of random crashes.
I tried on two different machines:
PC, Win7, AMD CPU & AMD GPU
Notebook, Win10, intel CPU & nvidia GPU
I also checked the event reports. Here's one:

Is there anything I can do to prevent these crashes?
Another thing I have noticed, is that characters turn black after taking a piece of the same kind. This is not gamebreaking, but a bit odd.
