Would love to see this feature. Ideally, the Android part goes in openHAB's
android app. Since GCM is also part of Google's API's this emphasizes the need
for a centrally managed set of credentials to interact with Google APIs (also
used for Drive integration, chat, and more to come?)

I have pushed the beginnings of a standalone Google API authentication library
as part of my Latitude binding. However I don't think anyone has gotten around
to having a look at it yet. Feel free to have a look and make any changes!

To be honest I am not sure sorry - I am totally new to hg and git. I have all
the changes in my clone - https://code.google.com/r/benjones12-latitude/ - I
have committed and pushed the changes from my local pc and when I browse the
source for my clone it appears as though the changes are there. Can you let me
know if I am doing anything wrong?

since you post an update "pushed beginning ..." 2 hours ago i was assuming some
reflecting changes in your repo. The latest change in your repo is two days old
though :-)

Ah sorry for the confusion - I pushed those OAuth changes a while ago - but
haven't had any feedback. I have also pushed the Latitude binding, the Twitter
stuff, and a new PiFace binding. I presume someone will review these when they
get around to it? I have been posting comments in the necessary Issue logs to
indicate the work I have done. Is there somewhere else I need to log this work
so it gets added to the queue for code review?
