BOM discrepancy: PH1RB-06-UA 2mm vs 2.54mm #4

Hi Oleg,

the BOM (for the 42pin version) says the 6 pin angled connector PH1RB-06-UA is "2mm" while on digikey[1] the same part is "CONN HEADER R/A 6POS 2.54MM" - looking at the PCB, i think 2mm is the correct answer, but i can't find any other part matching that manufacturer product number then.

1: digikey part number: 2057-PH1RB-06-UA-ND

Hi Paolo, Thanks for the finding. Usually I use straight pins and solder them on top of the holes. It is not the best way, but works. Anyway, I will update the BOM with this part: PR20C06HBNN (METZ CONNECT USA Inc.), Digikey P/N: 1849-PR20C06HBNN-ND

Regards Oleg

Thanks for the answer.

I usually use any connector i have around for through-hole assembly, but somehow none of my connector fits this time around (as in, the hole's diameter seems smaller, while step distance is fine) - both for J2 and PCB solder pins.

I have the same approach with components :) Regarding the 6-pin header, looks like its hole is a bit smaller than required. In connector's datasheet recommended hole is 0.8mm but in my footprint it is 0.71. I did not notice as the connectors I have (noname chinese) easily fit the hole. Anyway, seems it would be better to update hole diameter to 0.8mm. The PCB solder pins are 0.6mm diameter, so no need to increase hole size, I think.
