Tenfivefox intel sign in to firefox does not work

Hi, I am using Tenfivefox Intel with a Macbook 2007 under Leopard 10.5.8.

Tenfivefox works well, but Sign in to Firefox returns "no connection" "you must be connected to the internet to sign in" I am connected, everything else works!

Could you please check, If you get the same error? Thank you.

Hello again,

The Sign-In to Firefox feature is currently broken in TenFourFox because:

• TenFourFox uses an older API which is no longer supported by Mozilla;
• Even if you tweak about:config settings to connect to the newer API, the current sign-on webpage uses the newer async/await JavaScript feature which is unsupported in TenFourFox and then prevents you to connect to the website;

This explain why you've got the mistaken No internet connection message but, hopefully, this doesn't mean your browser is disconnected from the internet.

Unfortunately, such built-in features like Firefox Sync and Pocket are unsupported and won't be supported in the future.

To reduce user confusion, I'll hide the Sign In to Sync items in a next release. (This includes the menu item, the about:preferences#sync tab and the Sign-In to Sync button in the Hamburger menu.)

After testing, Sign In to Sync is partially working on Firefox esr52 and works as expected on Firefox esr60 (I've just tested to sign-in, no other option, so it's possible there's more breakages lying around).

Anyway, I'm still happy to see there's some indefectible users of good old tech.
