do you know if would it be possible to open the game with mappings for controllers or hack the aspect ratio of the game? with the new translation and your mod the game feels so good to play now

If the game does not recognise your controller in the Key Config menu, you might be hitting some sort of issue that I'm unaware of? Though, if your controller is recognised but you're, for example, having trouble binding the D-PAD buttons to movement (the game only accepts the left stick for movement IIRC), I've found that XInput Plus (https://0dd14lab.net/bin/xinputplus/, the page is Japanese-only but the program itself has an English option) is perfectly capable of rewiring things like that (and doesn't conflict with this mod).

or hack the aspect ratio of the game

I doubt that a widescreen hack is entirely impossible, though I can easily see it being a lot more involved than the rest of the fixes in this mod, so: even though it would be quite nice to have, I can't promise that it is something you'll see added to this mod anytime soon (if ever to be perfectly honest, due to my rather limited free time).

I'm glad to hear that the mod is working nicely for you so far though! 🙏

I've been trying to find a way to make the game render in 16:9 for a while now,

i don't know a lot in hacking games but the farthest i have gotten :

when i used (Special K), it could somehow interact directly with the directx9 stuff from the game, where there it seemed to change the internal render resolution but not the aspect.

also tried brute forcing changing values on cheat engine, like trying to find the variable with the render resolution of the x axis, it did ""work"" for like a single time or two, but without changing the window resolution so it was rendering a stretched 1600x600 image on a 800x600 window.

the whole message above is my wishful thinking of maybe someone more skilled give it a try too someday.

thanks again for making the fix, with it the game now is almost perfect.
