Getting Banned After Making Requests Within Stated Limited #630

Hi,

I am having an issue where I have been banned twice now (403 - Access Denied) from the API. I am trying to pull transactions history for a couple of addresses. To stay well within the stated limit ("Please limit consecutive requests to no more than 5 every 60s), I delay each request by 12 seconds. In the case of a HTTP error (e.g., 400), I wait 20 seconds before re-attempting the request.

However, I still end up getting banned. I was running a script overnight last night, and after a few hundred successful requests, I am now banned. Could y'all please provide more clarity about why this might be happening? If I am within the limits (and can successfully make hundreds of consecutive requests), why do I end up getting banned? Thank you.

Hey Zack, in order to do any sort of investigation we would need the ip address of the machine you were making the requests from. Might be best to start a dialog with via our support team: info at omniwallet.org and provide the specifics so we can better check what's going on.
