Field generators will output a detectable pulse in a radius, being blocks that are computer integrated and drain energy.
This will also have an effect on certain machines and blocks.
Proposed machines include:
[ ] Shearing field generators
A shearing field generator will generate an area of effect that causes warp cores on spacecraft to explode when attempting to enter or exit hyperspace within the field. (Max size approx. 100k per generator, draining enormous power).
Sensor technology will allow players to avoid this.
[ ] Jamming field generators
A jamming field generator will disrupt long range communications and sensor readings for the area within the field, instead causing the sensors to only detect the field generator and the radius of the field, with few exceptions.
[ ] Cloaking field generators
A cloaking field will operate similarly to a jamming field, with the exception that the field and generator will not be detectable. Note: It will not prevent someone from visually spotting a ship.
[ ] Attero field generators
An attero field generator will prevent stargates from operating within the affected area, instead causing them to explode on dial-out.
Stargates dialling into the area will refuse to do so with an exception saying "There is interference preventing a stable connection to the destination stargate"
Sensor technology will allow players to avoid this.
[ ] Field generators will only be 100% effective against sensor technology of the same tier and below... with them being less effective against higher tiers.
