OneDrive for Business cTag not updated when folder contents changes

This was a closed issue brought by someone a long time ago without any action taken.

Steps to reproduce:

• create a folder in OD for Business
• add some files and folders to the folder
• get the folder cTag by checking the parent folder childs: route users/{userId}/drive/items/{parentfolderId}/children
• change folder contents by adding or deleting or modifying files and folders
• wait a while and call api again

Result: cTag property of the folder is the same

Expected behaviour: cTag property should reflect changes of folder contents; as stated in docs

Note: eTag gets updated properly when the folder properties get updated. I don't understand why cTag never gets updated.
