Wordpress Flowplayer not embedding properly in IE8 #9

In the edit page of wordpress (3.1.1), I go through the motions of inserting a video and everything looks good until the window closes. I would expect to see

[flowplayer blah]

tag inserted where my cursor is, but it doesn't show up.

If I switch to the HTML editing (instead of visual) and run through the process again, things work a little better and the square-brackets tag appears, but not at the point of the cursor: it appears at the top of the edit pane.

Hopefully this is enough to go on - it's a great module apart from that, well done.

Incidentally, it might be worth pointing out that I am able to view pre-existing pages with videos in fine in IE8, so the problem is specific to editing pages and not to do with flash / playback or anything else.

Also, it's worth pointing out that this is a bug reported by one of my users, and I was able to reproduce it on an ond IE8 laptop I had lying around ;)

This plugin is dead I think

The plugin is updated as often as possible, and unfortunately that's not very often due to work commitments I have tagged this for the next milestone
