Make scrolling smoother

The current scrolling is rather choppy. This should be fixed to a smoother scrolling which may require the some change to the objects in the viewer.

Mostly fixed, issues remaining:

scrolling right does not work propperly
update the transition when another keypress is detected instead of starting a new one
