@italojsoliveira and @tgoprince, as you are the first authors of ROSE and COVER, respectively, can you please answer the above questions and make the necessary modifications in the catalog? Thank you in advance for the collaboration.
The short and precise answer to all of your questions is no. I suggest letting things the way they are in the catalog.
The long answer is the following: The COVER used by ROSE is, in fact, a different ontology compared to the one presented in the paper "The Common Ontology of Value and Risk" (2018). It is part of ROSE. Some concepts were used, but others were redefined, deleted, or created. Although we say ROSE extends COVER w.r.t. the security domain, this is more a way of speaking rather than strictly true. The original COVER assumes the existence of specific future events (Risk Events), whereas UFO-B does not accept that because, in its view, events are always located in the past. As we have opted to align ROSE with UFO, we speak about types of events that are instantiated or not in given moments, when we need to speak about future occurrences.
Thank you for your answer, @italojsoliveira.
Considering your explanation and the fact that you are the author of the ontology, we'll follow your recommendation and let the models as they are in the catalog.
The dataset oliveira2022rose contains part of the COVER Ontology - dataset sales2018cover.
The relation between them must be made explicit, especially:
