Get Items with a Unique Ocarina Song #1470

I was wondering if, along with each item, there could be a unique ocarina song that, when played, would give you the item.

The idea being that for each key item, you could either get the item from its chest or play that unique song. For example, if you find the boomerang, the game text would be replaced with a unique song directions like A > < A < A as another way to get the boomerang.

I think this would be a way to make the game cooperative so that if you find an item, you can share its ocarina song, and then your teammate could get the item by playing that song and wouldn't need to go to the chest that had it.

There's a mod that allows players to share an inventory called OoT Online. Maybe that's something you would enjoy.

I don't even know if there's space in the rom for such functionality, to be honest. You'd need to program in a code for every item... that's a lot of data to stuff into the rom. I think the OoT Online co-op mod that ETR suggested would give all the functionality you're looking for
