Just to document it publicly, the openEO PSC has agreed in the meeting today to propose openEO (either only the API or API and processes, tbc) to the OGC as a community standard.
All PSC members agreed to this.
We also said that if we hit major roadblock that we may withdraw the proposal.
Remarks:
We need a voting member to support this, e.g. one of ESA, JRC, (NRCan) -> Alex to contact them
We need a 3+ submission team of OGC members, could consist of ESA, JRC, VITO, EURAC, WWU, DLR, (NRCan), (EUMETSAT), (Brockmann) -> Alex to contact them
Who wants to participate from the PSC organisations (VITO, EURAC, WWU)? -> All agreed.
Shall we reach out to the others? Are there candidates from other projects (e.g. the EU projects?)
