That could be the openEO OIDC ;-) On the other hand, we may just connect to any SSO system that GEOSS, CEOS, ... offer and then we don't need to set-up one ourself.

The solution converges towards EGI checkin, which has far more resources and experience and already integrates a lot of institutions, including WWU. So I think we can close this and can consider integrating EGI checking via OIDC at some point.
We may want to have a central OpenID Connect (OIDC) server for openEO back-ends. They could rely on that instead of external companies in case they don't want to implement their own OIDC server. Should be it's own microservice for security reasons.
