The purpose would be to use on the ProductRegistry API so that if someone got a "simplified" view of a product (like HANWH-400), that the Substitute products could still be seen / referenced if another system uses a similar but not quite the same product (like the Distributor being ordered from or the Manufacturer). Products they are willing to substitute for the specific one requested if there is an availability issue
