Hello.
I'm requesting code to be added for the user to easily add Segoe MDL2 Assets font glyphs (like on StartIsBack),
on the second column of a 7 style skin on Windows 10.
At this time, a user can force glyphs into xml backup file, but there are drawbacks.
Difficult for the average user:
.xml file needs to be opened up in Notepad formatted with Segoe MDL2 Assets font.
An internal Win 10 Character Map program,
or external Character Map app is required to select correct glyph for copying/ pasting into xml file.
As you can see in picture the y and p text is cut off in the xml file as well as on the menu.
Anything below the bottom of glyph cuts off bottom text at same point.
Adjusting Main2_text_padding/Main2_icon_padding does not solve text cropping.
Not a coder, so there may be a better xml editor to fix this offset?
A user has to also add extra text to the .skin7 file "Main2_font="Segoe MDL2 Assets",normal,-12"
in order to get it to work.
Also, glyph and text only look sharp on opaque menus, very blurry on full glass menus.
I think blurry because Open-Shell/Classic Shell doesn't take advantage of extra ClearType code for glyphs.
EDIT: Using the "Customize Start Menu"- Edit Menu Item window, can accept Segoe MDL2 Assets font glyphs.
Will just show as a dot on most. Still, y and p get cut off at the bottom.
Request: Add Glyph option for 2nd column 7 style
