How can I enable the toolbar? It was enabled, I right clicked on it to stop it from showing but now I want to enable it again.
Similar to #275 but in Windows 11 I cannot find the option the solution was referring to.
Tried: Resetting open-shell settings Reinstalling open-shell with restart
Version: Open Shell: 4.4.170 Windows 11 22H2
hold Alt then press the Win key, Older win 11 build hold shift then click the start button
Pressing "F10" or "Alt" does nothing (it makes windows selects the "view" button but does not solve the problem) Holding alt and pressing the win key did not do anything. Hold shift then click the start button just opening the window 11 start menu.
Neither of these solves my problem.
These guys created a "QTTabBarEnabler.exe" for their toolbar but I don't know how it works: http://qttabbar.wikidot.com/

Hi, I have the same problem:
Open Shell: 4.4.170 Windows 10 Pro 22H2
Thanks and Regards
Hi, I don't know if it can be useful. I noticed that with local user profile everything works (Classic Explorer Bar item and toolbar are there). The toolbar does not appear and cannot be enabled only on the domain profile.
Thanks and Regards
I think I may have worked out a way to restore it (at least for with whatever I did to make it disappear). Go to the Control Panel, and press Alt+V. Move your mouse to the thing that says "Close" (you might have to move your mouse around there a bit). A menu with "File", "Edit", "View", "Tools" appears. Hover over "View", and go to "Toolbars", and click "Classic Explorer Bar" to restore it. It restores it in File Explorer too.
Hi. unfortunately the menu item "Classic Explorer Bar" is disabled... Thanks and Regards
Could it be a privilege issue on some registry key? Thanks and Regards
Hi, I fixed it by changing the registry's key
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Settings{553891B7-A0D5-4526-BE18-D3CE461D6310}] "Flags"=dword:00000001

Hi, I accidentally made the Open Explorer Toolbar disappear. I have tried every hotkey or key-combo suggested here. I've tried finding any kind of option in any menus I could locate in Explorer. I've tried looking for the registry key suggested earlier, but could not locate it. I've tried a repair installation of Open Shell. I've just tried uninstalling OpenShell and reinstalling it.
And the Toolbar is still missing. Help?

Open the old control panel and press the up arrow (or alt+up). This will open the old file explorer (I haven't tested this in the latest version but this used to work)

Yes, that worked!
For anyone not getting the point, I made a screenshot. It's in potato (I'm not calling it "german" and you can't make me! ;P ), but the "Options" Icon would be the same in other languages.
This pulldown is absent in the fancy new file explorer. But in the old style explorer, I put the checkmark to "Classic Explorer Bar", and when I open a new file explorer instance, the missing toolbar is back. And I'm fairly happy I can access the old-style file explorer in general. Thank you, @f1WN356Uh51a1W6cn !!
