Start button Not Responding #1823

Describe the bug

Please forgive me as I'm not all that tech savvy however I'll do my best to provide my issue and cooperate to help solve this problem in case someone else maybe experiencing this. So to sum it up my start button will not respond when i left click it but it will respond as I have a window open such as desktop, documents, downloads and sometimes the start button will respond after I close the windows but then it goes right back to the same issues.

I'm am running the most up to date open shell along with RetroBar on a windows 11.

Can someone please help me out with this as it's leaving me scratching my head.

To reproduce

Click start button, no response, open a window in Windows explorer and start button works.

Expected behavior

I'm hoping to be able to just left click on the start button without having to do this repeating behavior.

4.4.191

Windows version

Windows 11

Additional context

I do have duel monitors and the taskbar is enabled for both monitors.

Update: I did watch this video talking about what I believe might fix the issue but I'm not certain.

The only thing you mentioned here that seems different from a standard install, which works for me, is RetroBar.

Have you tried disabling RetroBar to see if the issue is related to that? It wouldn't be a permanent solution, but at least it would point in the direction of what the cause might be.
