Request for an updated mirror of Classic Shell.net website including the forum.

I notice that the forum on the old Classic Shell site is no more. It looks down for the count and won't be getting up!

I believe it was "thx_4_the_hard_wk" that made a mirror of the whole site and put it on this Open_Shell home page. Thanks for that. :)

Is it possible to upgrade the mirror to the very last day the forum went down, or is it too late to contact the administration that hosted it to ask for the files?

The reason I'm asking is some extra info, knowledge, user-made skins would go down the drain. I have kept most of my (juniper7) modified/ported skins on my hard drive if anybody wants one.

Example: I made a 7 style Smoked Glass.skin7 converted from Ivo's Classic style Smoked Glass.skin that is not in the mirror here, that @blackcrack might want?

Wait a minute, now I see the Classic Shell site was only stunned. She's up again. This might be the best chance to mirror archive the site before it goes down for good.

I've noticed the forum gets turned on and off since Dec 20. Not reliable anymore, and no moderators. Ivo did say he will turn it off after a year. It's way past that now.

You know what, I actually tried to copy the forum with a free program HTTrack Website Copier on Jan 26. A few things I notice:

I don't know what the heck I'm doing.

It took over a day to download. I can understand the program does not download at a high bit rate so it's not stressing out the server. When it finished the size is incredible 4.17GB. I just wanted to download for a personal archive and didn't think it would be that big. Also, the error log shows lots of cache errors, error links to other picture sites. Guessing this is normal when off-site pictures time expires.

I wouldn't even know how to upload the large file for others to use.

The other thing I notice is skins and zip downloads as an Example file364b.php One needs to rename it to the original name and type to be able to open it. There are probably expensive site copy programs that can rename on the fly. I'm sure you coders have more expertise than me. :)

EDIT: I'm now thinking the mirror size should be even bigger, for there were a couple of times I noticed the website turned off and back on again while mirroring. How many times that happened when I was away from the computer, I don't know. The program may not have gone back to retrieve lost files and just moved on skipping big chunks of files.
