Win10 (2004): on-screen-keyboards hides Open-Shell-startmenu #390

Open ruby-os opened 4 years ago

ruby-os commented 4 years ago

Hello,

can you please help me with following issue: I have installed Open-Shell on a tablet (Microsoft Surface Go 2). It's working properly but if I open the on-screen keyboard it hides the Open-Shell-menu so I only can see the keyboard but not the Open-Shell-startmenu. With another tablet (Acer, Win8) open-shell jumps upon the on-screen keyboard when I open it so I can see what I'm typing in Open-Shell. How can I change this für my Win10-tablet?

Thanks for all ideas!

Are both tablets using the same Open Shell version? Also, please try with the latest update if you don't have it already: https://github.com/Open-Shell/Open-Shell-Menu/releases

@ruby-os I'd suggest to change type of on-screen keyboard to smaller one that doesn't span through whole screen. You can do it by clicking on settings icon in upper-left corner of on-screen keyboard: image You can also move on-screen keyboard so that it won't interfere with any windows you want to see.

Thanks for your idea but I don't want to change other settings. Other operatingsystems can handle this problem so I was intereseted in technical background of this difference. I use Open-Shell on many machines especially for older customer who need to have their familiar environment with Windows. For this I'm looking for any tools that can help the older customers.
