Open d1nuc0m opened 3 years ago

Hello, as of title I would like to make a proposal: have you thought about adding an heart rate monitor? It would be useful to use the smartwatch for sports. Thank you

Maybe we can use a MAX30102 sensor which works with I2C interface

Was this proposal accepted or is anyone working on it?

I don't know, we should ask @uvwxy @OneGneissGuy @nerdyscout

Waiting on V4.1 light edition pcbs. Will have gnd, 3v3c, sda, scl pad underneath to enable extensions, such as hr monitor

OneGneissGuy commented 2 years ago

We could hack one in the mean time?

How should we decide which heart rate monitor components are compatible with the design? As there is a lot of them that seems to have various known and unknown problems.

Maybe we should make a some kind of list for those that work with the pcbs?

The discord server is the best place to discuss imo

If it is of interest development has started on a new rev here.

There is an HR monitor on the board. I don't know if it will work or not yet do to placement and I still need to redesign the case.

Also the HW design linked above has not been tested yet. I have boards on order to test when they arrive,
