Problem in simulation with Particle Size Distribution formulation #576

Closed LoaneD closed 4 years ago

LoaneD commented 4 years ago

Hello, Trying to do a simulation with a PSD formulation raised an error (see attached). The parameters used in formulations are as seen attached. When changing the coefficient of variation from 0.28 to 0.3 or 0.2 the error was not there anymore. When trying to reduce solver tolerance as suggested, the error remained.

Version 8 - Build 22

Error:

errorPSD

PSD parameters:

Hi Loane,

can you quickly provide a screenshot of the changed solver tolerances?

Thanks, Stephan

Changed solver tolerances:

changed

Thanks for the help, Loane

@LoaneD According to the screenshots you changed not the tolerances of the problematic simulation but the default solver tolerances. These values are only used as initial tolerance values when a new simulation is created.

In order to change the solver settings which are used in a simulation after it was created: go to the Parameters tab of the simulation and then to Settings/SolverSettings (make sure that Advanced mode is active) grafik

Hi, Indeed silly mistake from my part, by changing the tolerances on the problematic simulation as you showed, it solved the issue.. Thank you very much for the help Loane
