Calculating a first order rate constant from the half-life by the formula k=ln(2)/t(1/2) is quite basic reaction kinetics knowledge. See, for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half-life
@UlrichSi the reference I suggested to include is not about this transformation, but it is about the calculation of the intrinsic clearance. In this formula the T/2 (indeed often calculated with the basic formula you suggested) and the relative scaling factors for the in vitro experiment are used to calculate in vitro clearance. I think it would be important to keep trace of these formulas used in the software so that when they are applied we have a reference from literature for the calculation. Sorry if the title of the post was misleading but it was to indicate that I was referring to the entry for unspecified liver process-> in vitro T/2 clearance
Ok, then I was indeed misled, Donato. I agree that it can't hurt to add helpful references.
This entry refers to the issue https://github.com/Open-Systems-Pharmacology/Forum/issues/402 on the forum. Can you please add the reference reported in the discussion in the respective field in the software, please?
Thanks a lot!
