          I would also install the spelling package and perform spelling check

(e.g. compare https://github.com/Open-Systems-Pharmacology/OSPSuite-R/blob/f83ab821398252caf69a1211ffe746aeceff19a6/appveyor.yml#L50-L51) (IMO as a soft check: the build should not fail in case of spelling errors, but produce warnings)
