The home page says "you are saying that Open Addresses Limited can re-use the address and publish it under an open data licence" - but you don't say /which/ open data licence. Nor does your FAQ. Your /data pages says "Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence" - but when I submitted an address, you did not collect my details, to give the required attribution. #22

Agreed, this is an important issue. It would be acceptable if contributors waived their individual rights to be attributed, as long as the database was a decent license like CC-BY. Also, consider dual licensing if no one license will suite.

At the moment data publishing is CC-BY-4.0, with attribution to OA rather than individual contributors.

Whilst the platform already tracks provenance we've started the address submission form very simple both for accessibility and due to privacy risks (if person "X" has only submitted one address "Y", then person "X" may live at address "Y").

The underlying platform will have the capability to support attribution (see https://github.com/OpenAddressesUK/roadmap/issues/51) for contributors who submit one or more addresses. That capability will be exposed in the APIs/ETL.

We are open to ideas on how best to expose that attribution on the website: for example maybe an additional form which offers attribution and wording on the privacy risk which the submitter can choose to accept if they are comfortable with it?
