Hi, I'm interested in analyzing this data (i've recently become fascinated with urban farming and wanted to play around with it).

I'm trying to understand the CSVs- it looks like each CSV corresponds to an experiment with details recorded in the Master Tables file.

Within each CSV, each row looks like a particular compound. Are the remaining columns the values for these compounds for various plant varieties? Talking about column names like "RT", "PS1", "PS2"

Also- is there any information on what these compounds subjectively smell like?

hi! you are correct, most of the csv files are full profiles for individual experimental conditions, outlined in the master file. In one of the files it should say what treatment levels are— Philips (P), Illumitex (I), and Fluorescent (F) light sources and Short (S) or Long (L) UV photoperiods for iteration 2, and specific photoperiod times for iteration 3. The "1" "2" and "3" is the replicate number. "RT" is retention time- the time (in the particular analysis conditions we used) that that particular compound eluted, for profile-to-profile comparisons. We don't have indexed or tabulated the odor descriptors for thevolatiles but check out perflavory.com or flavornet.com fora good source. If you figure out a way to scrape/tabulate and want to contribute, drop us a line...
