Unable to connect to network SSID after flashing v2.0.5 #79

It is a very strange issue....

I am unable to connect to the Wifi Network when in Direct mode after flashing with firmware v2.0.5

I have tried, windows 10, android as well as Mac to try and connect to the Wifi network. The network OpenBCI-#### shows up on the list but devices are unable to connect.

The connection works properly at my home but in my office (with cisco enterprise routers) it does not connect at all.

In fact I ran this test -

  1. I reset my network adapter, forgot all networks and passwords and rebooted my laptop. I could see both OpenBCI AP as well as Office AP on the list. I did not connect to any.

  2. I went out of my office where the Office AP signals were not on the list in the available networks. OpenBCI Direct AP was in the list. I connected and I could stream data without any issue.

  3. I walked into the office while streaming with the GUI. Soon enough, the network connection was terminated. I could not connect again. Note in this case, both the OpenBCI AP and the Office AP network is only listed. It is NOT connected to any. I fail to connect back to OpenBCI AP

I am using WiFi Direct but it seems the Shield Access Point is unable to give out an IP address (DHCP) when I am in office.

Hi! Sorry for all these issues!

Are you saying you can't use WiFi Direct at the office? Enterprise level security does not work with the wifi shield unfortunately. I'm not sure it will ever be able to due to the memory constraints of the chip.

Yes, even WiFi Direct does not work at the office. As I mentioned in the earlier post, during the test - the connection worked outside the office environment but when I walked inside, the connection dropped. Not sure why this happened

I have now moved to a new building and WiFi Direct is working.

I am not sure what was the problem earlier.
