Validation would be handy for cytoscape networks using BEL as a knowledge representation.

Provide Validate functionality for nodes and edges of a network. The following workflow outlines the process and expected results:

click Validate in the Kam-Nav menu
- parse all node labels (name column) as BEL term; add columns named valid bel and validation error to the node table
- parse all edge labels (name column) as BEL statement; add columns named valid bel and validation error to the edge table
provide visual bypass on node border color and edge color; set to red if valid bel is false
show a message dialog stating the ratio of valid nodes/edges
