Some HPC sites are highly skeptical of running containerized microservices. This RFD is the place to discuss options for bare metal usage.

How large a group is this?

How do we satisfy that group?

This is likely critical for admins that are looking for an off-ramp from xcat.

@travisbcotton has been working on using podman quadlets to set up SystemD unit files for each service. We should add details to this RFD that capture the ideas and the work so far.
