There's a definite need for OB-3.0 and I'd like to have the latest Eigen and MMTF release.

Closing in favor of #56, sorry @ghutchis I missed this, and the other branch has updates needed for Open Babel to build and package. I will look/get better at merging, I appreciate the help and just missed this. Agreed on wanting Open Babel 3, we just need to contain dependencies on things like Boost as that would add a packaging burden we just got rid of for minimal gain.
